About the babies in space journey....

Whether your an experienced baby wearer, or have never heard if the term before, if you love your baby, and want an easy way to include your little (or not so little as is the case with my own munchkin Tom) bundle in your everyday life  you are at the right place!

Baby carriers are great for all parents who aren’t happy to just pop baby in a pram or play pen all day, but want them to up and a part of their lives....after all, your baby doesn't know that helping you get the chores done in his carrier isn't a game! Plus up with a care giver, he can see all the world, and how everyday things work.....

Being very passionate about giving my son the best start in life, I knew baby wearing was a must for us, but although there are some great carriers on the market, there wasn't anything that combined everything I wanted in the one carrier- tie on, safe and easy front AND back carry, easy to use, good for my baby’s developing spine, a hood that does up to support baby’s head while sleeping,  adjustable for both my partner and I, to be able to breastfeed without taking it off, cushy, comfy straps, be able to wear it all day in comfort, on front or back...and fashionable, I wanted to be able to change the look of my carrier to suit my mood and outfit.

With these ideas in mind, I designed the original Babies in Space carrier based on the Asian mei-tai or ABC carrier, and added a and changed things as I felt they were necessary during countless trial runs....this carrier is the final design after many, many versions of this carrier, each changed a little, improving on the last, each made a bit more comfy and practical for Tommy and I. We have road tested it to within an inch of its life and are very happy with our creation.
